And then they all get together in their little cliques and mutually prop each other up in their irrational belief systems.

I worked for 45 years for a newspaper. We had these safeguards in place, fact checking, accuracy checking, checking with sources to be sure we got their info right, lots of ways to make SURE that what we reported was true.

But now, any doofus can post any preposterous imagining on Twitter or Facebook or some message board somewhere, and other like-minded doofuses will latch onto it because it's just what they like to believe. And just like that, there's a guy shooting up a pizza parlor because he thinks Hillary Clinton is running a child sex ring out of that pizza restaurant.

And these CRAZY people actually go to the polls and VOTE!

No wonder we've got a megalomaniacal con man in the White House.

I have a bumper sticker that says MAKE AMERICA SANE AGAIN. I hope we still have enough SANE people in this country to start fixing things on Nov. 3.
