Just saw the 538 aggregate.
We're still 98 days from the election.
Let's do our effing jobs.

(1,690 posts)As others have said NOW is not the time to sit back and relax. NOW is the time to put the pedal to the metal and push this thing over the finish line.

(5,727 posts)I've already seen a couple of tweets in which some clown announces he's voting third-party just so he can enjoy the attention.
Then there's THIS shit.
It's the second stage of the cycle:
(1) "Yeah, yeah, vote blue no matter who, whatev."
(2) "You rejected my candidate!! Now I'm going to piss away my vote because 'conscience.' Argue. Plead. Beg. Give me attention."
(3) (refuses to vote)
(4) "Of course I voted for the candidate! How dare you suggest otherwise! I had to hold my nose, though, because 'conscience'."
(5) (sits back to watch world burn...because "conscience" )

(28,829 posts)Arent you a bit pushing some rw idea?
If you arent interested in a back and forth quit hitting on me with your ideas from Twitter.
You are the one who cant supply anyone on Du who goes with your opinion. Which is really what it is. From Twitter no less.

(4,999 posts)Every vote needs to be blue, even if you are in a state where you think it doesn't matter. We need the widest popular margin ever, that will give Biden more political legitimacy to move quickly to turn things around with congress supplying bills to fix so much that was broken by this anti-american administration. Also impeach Kavanaugh while they are at it.

(65,106 posts)It's more motivating to act like he's down 1. The every incremental change matters.
-1 to +1 is winning but 10 going to 12 is certitude.

(15,223 posts)Im seeing threads on DU about so much negativity. Bullshit. Being realistic is not being negative. Lets not take anything for granted. When a landslide is certified and Biden is sworn in, Ill stop being negative.
Until then, Im going to act like hes 20 points behind. Overconfidence makes people not bother to get out and vote if they think their candidate is going to win anyway. Reality!!! We all have to cast that vote to make this happen, so lets stay a little bit worried.

(68,618 posts)to GOTV in the Biden campaign and also in data/internet. The doom and gloom posts do not energize voters...quite the opposite. If voters feel it is hopeless (Trump won't leave or Trump will steal the election) they feel like why bother.
