Turd can't do his Frankenstein impression again if Biden isn't on a physical stage with him. Of course, he'd probably regret it if he tried.

And the power of the mute button will be absolute.

But don't you want to see him drink a glass of water?

Seriously, aren't you worried he'd have an earpiece and people feeding him talking points? Or that he could lean out of frame and do whatever drugs he does?

Just asking.

They wouldn't have to actually go near each other.

I sort of want to see Trump under some pressure, in a place he's not used to being, with a half unfriendly audience, not sitting in the Oval Office where he'll feel comfortable.

But if the consensus is to do it virtually, I'll go along with it.

Trump will ignore it, Biden won't, it will be seen for what it is.

Biden needs to be seen "standing up" to his bullying. Anything else can be (will be) spun as evidence of Liberal "weakness".

And drinking a glass of water. And sweating. And being booed. And debating all by himself without getting help from Stephen Miller and Kellyanne Conway.

But I guess if it's virtual, it is what it is. Trump is going to cheat, but maybe it will be so obvious it will become a laughable scandal.

Joe must stop, turn to Trump point to Trump’s assigned space and say “you need to get back to your agreed upon space, NOW!”, then Joe raises both of his hands to his hips and steps toward the con artist, with a determined glare in his eyes.

Trump wants to come off as strong and dominating, if Joe forces him to retreat, which is what I think will happen, Trump gets humiliated.

No response at all. No threatening stance, just stare him down. Trump will flinch, backing off like the coward he is. THAT would be a show of strength and a moment for history.

to get into the other candidates section.

Setting things up so they are on opposite ends of a room facing each other might be a good idea. Instead of standing side by side as it's usually done.

And have a plexiglass barrier between them with the hosts in the middle.

Opposite ends of the stage, of course. That way, Joe would have his own fresh air supply.

The microphones in the booths would be controlled by the Moderators, and would not be activated unless it is that person's turn to speak. No more interruptions ("You're the puppet" etc) or going over your time limit.
