Taft versus trump, height and weight
Was watching the PBS/K.Burns series on 'the Roosevelts'. Last night was largely on Teddy - major gift to the country.
Anyway, there was film of VP [later Chief Justice]Taft, who was certainly rotund. I was struck by how he compared with trump for girth, but moved so much better. Checking Taft's height, seemed a real 6'2, and his weight was probably about 300 lbs. My strong sense, get ready for this, is that Taft stats, - and capability, personality, decency, appearance, etc. were so much better than . . . trump.
[Taft, certainly not one of my favorite SCOTUS Justices, so I don't think I was biased towards Taft, and trump is a very low bar, but still . . . . ]

...Taft dressed very well. His clothing was well-tailored to suit his size, and he seems to have been downright dapper.
Trump, on the other hand, is a freaking slob that embarrasses the nation when he goes abroad. What the HELL was that getup he wore to Buckingham Palace? I’ve seen cheap rental tuxes at weddings and high school proms that looked better than that. On any given day in the US, his pants bag in all directions his coat sleeves are too long. He leaves his coat unbuttoned to try to de-emphasize his butt and belly, and he apparently thinks that ridiculous tie is slimming.
Don’t anybody tell me I am fat-shaming him. I am slob-shaming him. Trump claims to be worth a bajillion dollars, and he could look good, but no. If he was living in a trailer he’d be wearing T-shirts that ride up over his hairy belly and blue jeans that show his butt-crack, and there still would be no excuse for being a slob. I have friends who live in subsidized housing, shop at the Food Bank, and choose their wardrobe from the thrift store, and they always look clean, tidy, and appropriate.
Sorry for the rant, but if anyone in his family actually loved him they would have taken away his car keys and never let him run for POTUS. He looks that decayed.
