Did Congressional Republicans Tank Stimulus Talks

Did congressional Republicans tank stimulus talks in order to allow Donald Trump to pretend to solve the problem? Recently, I have been thinking that Republicans wanted the stimulus talks to go downhill so Donald Trump could come in at the end and look like he solved the problem. I am not buying that a deal could not have been made in Congress. Maybe Democrats were not willing to budge on the $600 unemployment benefits, but I still think a deal could have been made. So, what do others think?

Things should be brewing hot by Tuesday.

People in the White House are clueless enough to believe that blue states will have problems with Trump’s EO. Even if Trump comes up with the Fed money, red states may not have $100 per week to hand out.
