Belarus elections are this weekend and something to pay very close attention to. Mass protests against Lukashenko have been ongoing since middle of June. Lukashenko will try to rig the election which will cause even more to come out. Also Russia's reaction is something to monitor

There are reports that military equipment is being brought in to Minsk. Its night-time there and elections begin in a few hours. Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya, opposition candidate, had to leave her home due to security threats. Tomorrow all eyes on Minsk.
Also their internet may be shut down tomorrow. Will update as info comes in

#Belarus. So turnout during early vote is 41,7 percent, according to the central election commission. Independent observers said that the turnout was much lower. It is indeed hard to believe that nearly half of the voters already cast the ballot. This figure is an absolute record

#Belarus. Right now in the #Minsk city centre. It is not far from one of the #Lukashenkos residencies. I expect the worst

Seems like too many people voted for Tikhanovskaya already. The number of ballots doesn't add up because of early vote rigging. Police had to bring a ladder and commission members are climbing out of polling station with full bags

Many Belarusians in Moscow did not manage to vote. Spontaneous rally did spark. Riot police came
These preliminary exit polls are so ridiculous. Judging by the mass protests since June against Lukashenko I don't see Belarusians accepting these results
Lukashenko 79%
Svetlana Tsikhanouskaya 6.8%

#Belarus 30 minutes before the end of the vote. People are waiting in long lines outside polling stations. Meanwhile,@tutby journalists were brutally expelled from a station while reporting. My former @Belsat_TV colleague Ekaterin Tkachenko was detained right outside her flat

Lukashenko's thugs have begun detaining people gathered at polling stations waiting for results which are rigged

By the way if you are going to be climbing out of windows using ladders, best not to wear a skirt.

Replying to @TadeuszGiczan
are you 100% about the reason behind? why would anybody climb when there is the police helping them? why not use the main door?

There are independent monitors at the main doors filming people going in and out.

Stick a pin in this story. Suspect we see the start of a Democracy Revolt and it will be one Bloody mess and last more than a year. We are seeing History Possible happening similiar to the Revolution of 1912.
