The Trump administration reportedly pressured the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to delete part of a report that concluded Russia was aiming to help Trump win reelection in 2020.

When former director of national intelligence Dan Coats refused to delete that conclusion from the report, Trump forced him to retire earlier than planned, according to an investigation by The New York Times Magazine.

Previous reports from the FBI, CIA, and NSA concluded that Russia attempted to help Trump win in 2016 — and Vladimir Putin said publicly he wanted Trump to win — but Trump has denied those reports' accuracy.

Last year, President Donald Trump's administration tried to pressure intelligence agencies to delete part of a classified report that found Russia was trying to help him win the 2020 election, according to an investigation by The New York Times Magazine.

Some dumbass move of Trump came out in the press and Coats was asked about it at the conference. Coats' obvious and immediate response was shock and laughter. I always thought Coats departure was fishy, but he wouldn't speak up and say anything. I wish one of the house committees would call him in NOW to testify about this and what the original language in the report was. Also ask him about any threats to himself or his family if he didn't resign. We need to start asking people under oath if this is a government of threats under Trump.
