Researchers noted that masks may not be the sole reason as other measures are usually in place, but the relationship is still clear.

TENNESSEE, USA — In a new analysis, researchers from the Department of Health Policy at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Medical Center have found a relationship between the growth of COVID-19 hospitalizations and masking requirements put in place across the state.

Hospitals that have more than 75% of their patients from areas without masking requirements in place have seen a relatively faster increase in patients with COVID-19 than hospitals with higher percentages of patients from areas with masking requirements in place, according to a release from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Masks have been worn to prevent infections during surgery. I'll guess around a hundred years.
It's obvious masks stop the spread of infection.
It's nice though, that provided the numbers to confirm.

Not.

Rachel Maddow did a segment recently about Kansas and masks. Apparently the Governor there tried to mandate them, but a bunch of counties somehow defied her and opted out. The segment showed a chart that clearly delineates the difference between wearing and not wearing masks.

Here's the piece that was on a Kansas (probably Topeka) TV station.

... but I guess it's nice to see other evidence as well.

I'm not seeing reports of people from Tokyo dying from inhaling their own exhalations either!

Edit: The spell corrections from this iPhone are ridiculous sometimes. Lol! My big fingers aren't helpful on this tiny little "keyboard" either.
