Among possible 2020 voters who have turned 18 since 2016, Biden leads 94-6

Ronald Brownstein @RonBrownstein (Senior editor at The Atlantic & a senior political analyst for CNN)

May not be decisive in November, but Republicans wondering about Trump's long-term impact on party might consider this stunning finding in new Battleground (Lake/Goeas) Poll: among possible 2020 voters who have turned 18 since 2016, Biden leads 94-6.

is get them to the polls and instill in them a moral obligation to vote in every election, no matter if they're excited about the candidates or not.
An apathetic public is the biggest danger to any democracy.

With a great sense of humor and then they see the awful mf45 who is dumb, callous, ruthless and evil. They felt safe and now they see a madman.

I remember substituting for two days in a third grade class when mf45 was selected by Putin. The kids were so excited to have the first woman president, the next day they were inconsolable and some were crying. I tried to do the lesson plan and all the kids wanted to talk about the election results and how scared they were.

Is an officer w her College Dems and the president of her university Students demand action.

She's all in.

All the cries about voting Green and not supporting Biden I've noticed have been mostly Millennials, with a few Xers and Boomers. I don't think I've noticed the Zers saying anything but how electing Biden is imperative, even if they didn't support him in the primary.

Once Hillary lost the only thing I could console myself with was that Trump was guaranteed to accelerate the trend of young voters imprinting as blue.

Unfortunately I know of one exception. My sister has a 19 year old son who went to junior high in a heavily white conservative area of Orlando and turned into a hard right Republican. He idolizes Trump and can't wait to vote for him.

My sister keeps saying, "Is this really my son?"

Fortunately she moved the family to get away from that school. Her 14 year old daughter and 16 year old son are blue. The daughter was beyond crushed when Hillary lost.

I imprinted as a Democrat during the Reagan years, equating Republicans with environmental degredation, economic inequality, and corporate overreach. And I was proven right. Subsequent years also proved a lot of other shit about them I didn't glom onto back then.

Weirdly, and unfortunately, my siblings did NOT imprint the same way I did, so....

That was an era with a red generational tilt. But not nearly to the degree of Silent Generation.

Pew Research does related articles all the time. Here is one:

They're young, they can stand in line all day. They have social networks so 1 could bring 10-15 others.

I ventured out to a public event.

People wore masks, there was social distancing.

Very nice.

The buzz-kill was the sight of a young gal, maybe 13 or 14, sporting a t-shirt in support of Paul Ryan’s protege Elise “I love Trump” Stefanik. I nearly lost my lunch which would have been very messy considering my facial covering.

We need to vote Elusive Elise out of NY-21 so bad.

And then find all the young kids who thought she was cool and help them understand that Elise was not their friend.

Lots of people don’t care for Trump. It takes going a step further & registering and voting to make an actual difference. Historically, more people stay home than vote which is why our country is in such dire straits.
