If Biden chooses a white VP, it will affect a certain amount of the black vote. No matter how many people hate Trump a percentage of black voters "will" stay home. If he chooses a black VP then there may be an issue with getting the votes needed in the Midwest. I hate that many of us as Dems are even making Joe's choice of VP a racial issue....
