'Splain this to me, please. According to the USPS, based on past (successful) experience,

they expect their peak week of deliveries during the Christmas rush this year to begin December 16th. The expect to deliver 2.5 billion pieces of mail during that week.

So, why should delivering maybe 100 to 120 million ballots ( my estimate ) spread out over 5 weeks or so be a terrible problem? (In Illinois, voting by mail begins September 24th.)

I realize Trump's thug postmaster is prohibiting overtime and has made numerous other changes designed to impede prompt mail delivery. But, can he really do anything more than slow the mail? And, if we educate our people to vote early, can't we overcome this attempt to reduce the number of votes cast?

2. Well, you'd roughly double that number as the ballots would need to go both directions

But it's still a pretty damn small fraction of the Xmas week mail, and spread out over a fair bit longer, so ... yeah.

Anyways, simply by successfully creating a fear in people's minds over mail-in voting, you will drive the 'turnout' down ... and lower turnout tends to favor the GOP.

You'll get lots of people deciding they're going to deliver their ballot to the polling place instead ... and then they get lazy or forget ...

3. It's not a problem, USPS has said so. It's this month's conspiracy theory

and supposition which doesn’t help the turnout.

5. Well, I sure hope so. I didn't get my mail today.

I got my package supposedly delivered (per tracking number) yesterday, only it wasn't. And when I tried to call the USPS number about my package, the nice robot man told me the wait for a live agent is going to be 1 hour.

6. We are in a pandemic, with lots of people taking time off.

Lots of government offices are completely shut down, or putting people on wait. Heck, I have to make an appointment to get my driver license reviewed. Why should PO be any different right now?

7. Even so, I had no issues until quite recently.

In a last couple of days, I had a package supposedly delivered but it was not. Now I was supposed to get a number of mail today and got zip. Also the mail has been arriving to my mailbox a lot later last week than it normally does (although that obviously is not a big deal, unless it doesn't arrive at all).

delayed in the future as we slowly recover from CV19. Not for that, but it’s reality.

But, it could use some restructuring. For example, do we really need Saturday and sometimes Sunday delivery.

I haven’t seen any issues with mail. But, many have. Maybe drug companies need to mail a little earlier. Same for paying bills. Expecting 1, or 2, day delivery for $0.55, may be unreasonable for time.

They will throw ballots into the lake. They are damaging the good reputation of the usps so they can blame it on a messed up postal system. Cover for their crimes.
