I like any other sports fan would love to see football pro or college played this year?

But given that there are a lot of people who have died from this pandemic should out weight any other issues arising from the discussion! To hear the coaches say that they have taken all the precautions and followed all the guidelines is crap! It’s about the money plain and simple! I don’t care if a team or city loses money? I rather some lives to be saved! The MAC conference has step up and said no falls sports this season! Good for them! I’d say the rest of the colleges and pro teams need to follow the example of the MAC! I get it, it’s not fair to player! But life’s dealt a lot of bad things and we work thru them to see a better future for all! This isn’t a sport issues, it’s a life and death issue!

the shit is real. They already should have when the first meat packing plants shut down. If it was any kind of a hoax, the Tyson CEO would have said screw you, we're running as normal! Then with Trump on his side, we'd have seen nothing bad happen and the hoax would have been exposed. It didn't happen that way. Out here in Idaho, I'm seeing definite problems with meat selection and price. The plants can't be back to running at full capacity.

...they are simply proving social distancing and wearing masks work right now. Wait until they put pads on and start actually playing football

Grandfather from Alabama, dad went to LSU. Graduated from high school in Arkansas. Went to games starting at 5 years of age.

Worst of all I went to Kentucky a football loser who looks to have our best team in 50 years or more.

But it’s a fucking game. Not worth one life.

Perhaps a year without the cash cow football has become to power 5 conferences they will finally focus on their true mission. Education for the general population.

I think the school presidents are ready for this. Finally a way to break the back that relentless pressure for sports puts on them.

The most obnoxious fans at my school and most never darkened the halls of any university. They don’t give a shit about the academics of a school.

I’ve watched as the leadership of UK has tried to raise the academic profile of the university from a high tier school to an elite level continually be stopped by republicans who keep cutting funding for academic excellence, caring more about sports.

My wife went to Purdue . A truly excellent school. But even they are seeing the results of republican governance. They will make Purdue no better than the university of Arkansas given the chance.
