I meant mormons as in lds church mormons. They own the government in Idaho, try to get a job or start a business in that state while not a mormon, won't happen unless you're a kazillionaire.

But There is little of anything in Maine that is anything like anything in Idaho. I grew up in NE, mostly Maine, NH and MA. Idaho has some of the most spectacular landscape in the US, truly unique, social climate sucks, though. I lived in Idaho longer than I lived in Maine.

by the church, then they are the only ones who get business. Plumbing and house building are kind of funny looking. Lived there for over a decade, I lived in a neighborhood once where all the bathrooms in nearly every house was pink. Bath tubs, sinks, toilets... all pink. It's a strange place to live but what can you expect from a place that has been ruled by a religious organization for a century?

The medical community should decline them as patients. Let them be treated by a neighbor or the school board.

Since Idaho obviously has more idiots than experts, the idiots should determine health care in Idaho, and not trained medical personnel. It's the only democratic (small "d" ) way to approach the issue. Poor Frank Church, it's a good thing he never lived to see this.

I am an Idahoan, born and raised. In the 1970s, you would have been right - South Idaho was effectively North Utah, and North Idaho (where the mining, logging and grain farming is) paid the taxes that supported South Idaho’s root crop farmers.

Then Mark Fuhrman formerly of the Los Angeles Police Department called OJ Simpson The Word That Dare Not Be Said at OJ’s murder trial, and fled to North Idaho. Next thing you know, we’re fuckin’ Doomsday Prepper Central. They call it the American Redoubt. There are places up here (the area around Priest Lake comes to mind) I do not go. There are several properties around me that have been turned into Militia Training Centers...and all of them have three signs: one that says Militia Training Center, one that says Keep Out, and a Trump sign. Usually 4x8.

And...these idiots are taking over Idaho government.

And no, I am not leaving. This is my state. They can’t fucking have it.

Boise has a lot going for it, too. But I would not go up into the north now, not for love nor money. Something needs to be done about all the whackos up there. I'll keep my money down here. Maybe we can starve them out.

This came out of a panel of NINE (9) people whose vote was split 5-4, with all Republicans in favor and all Democrats opposed. Yes, the repugs here are totally deplorable but there are still Democrats and people with common sense here. I belong to an online group called Idaho Women for Biden and we now have over 4,000 members! I think we may be on the verge of turning Idaho Blue. And I'd be willing to bet you have a few idiots in your state legislatures, too.
