A reminder not to read too much into VP "hints." Also that nothing's official until it's official.

Which plane took off from where? Who has a slot at the convention? Who's following whom on Twitter? What did this unnamed source say about the search process?

Campaigns use misdirection all the time, and there are many times a cigar is just a cigar. Of course Harris and Warren have DNC speaking slots--they were major presidential candidates. It would be positively weird if they weren't on the official schedule.

Recall that in 2004, there were mistaken reports that Kerry had chosen Dick Gephardt as his running mate. Wrong information comes out all the time. It's entirely possible that not only may we misread the signs, information and reporting may come out that is just plain incorrect.

I, admittedly, think it's fun trying to handicap the VP selection and predict what all the signs are saying. But it's important to remember that we often spend way too much energy on things that either don't mean anything or is deliberately misleading. A flurry of activity is about to happen in the coming hours and days, and not until the Biden campaign officially announces it will we know who it is.
