CBC Chairwoman Karen Bass is out, per @jeffzeleny, @DanaBashCNN @merica. The Biden campaign has informed some of the women the former Vice Presidents team vetted about his choice of running mate. Karen Bass was told by Biden himself that she was not the pick.

(8,419 posts)We seem to have a trend here. Fox, Politico, and concern trolls will be all over Bidens lack of respect for dogs.

(2,195 posts)I don't think Biden would select a little known shocker candidate.

(11,866 posts)I have had a feeling that they had a deal since the minute she dropped out if the race so early on.
Just my silly writer's penchant for drama.

(10,500 posts)The last time I checked--a minute ago--the numbers were narrowing again. Also, Rice was still way up on Betfair, at least as of a couple minutes ago.
It definitely seems like it will be one of those two women, Harris or Rice.
On Edit: I was actually misreading the numbers on Betfair. Kamala was up there too.

(58,785 posts)and just realized that, though I never thought it would be her, she's apparently going to be the first of a line of regrets for me.
I've read that when choosing a favorite, such as a kitchen counter, a perverse syndrome is often kicked off. The rejects are vastly upgraded to the "what might have beens," and when that happens what was liked is magnified and any negative factors dim and may even be forgotten.
Darn! Karen Bass would have been great!
