Moscow Mitch: Time to restart coronavirus talks

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is calling for the Trump administration and congressional Democrats to restart negotiations on a fifth coronavirus deal after talks collapsed late last week.

McConnell, during an interview with Fox News, said it was "time for everybody to get back to the table," though the GOP leader gave no indication that he would reach out to Democratic leaders himself.

"The stalemate needs to be ended. It doesn't make any difference who says let's get together again, but we ought to get together again," McConnell said, adding things were currently at an "impasse."

"There hasn't been a meeting of any consequences between the two parties since last Friday. That's too long, and it's time to sit down and get a deal done," he added.

You had three months to get something done or at least submit a counter proposal Moscow Mitch. Glad you finally decided to get off your dead ass. Now get to work.

Businesses and unemployed are furious with him because of no money forthcoming. Cars drove around his Kentucky headquarters with signs saying give us our money and honkig horns.

The House had crafted a Bill, McConnell refused to acknowledge that bill and start negotiations, even as it was clearly obvious that another bill would be needed.

Also, they probably couldn't steal the money from another department. Payroll tax - only congress can amend that . .

The eviction and student loans is a total con game. . .

Senate could be negotiating with the House regarding the aid's bill anyways.

His poll numbers are sagging and letting the aid package expire isn't helping him. They could have told him to shut up and sign whatever mostly Democratic bill they put in front of him so everyone's ass could be saved. Letting the White House take over negotiations was a sign that nothing was going to happen except Trump's phony executive orders.

The HEROES Act was passed by the House in May, Mitch. You've had that bill for months, so don't pretend like everyone else around you is dragging their feet. You are the reason no relief bill has been passed. Own it.

change by today, and that they would be trying to restart negotiations.

I was watching and reading local Florida news coverage over the last two days, the Florida governor literally came out and openly stated that Trump’s plan was unworkable and that Florida would need a loan to do what Trump called for. That from a Trump ass-licker supreme. Also, DeathSantis said that the money Trump called out in his deluded documents was all spent in Florida. I pointed out that Trump didn’t have the money.

The rubber is hitting the road for those jerks, too bad that they are sacrificing tens of millions of Americans that need UE benefits, to push their empty-headed ideology.
