He is probably near the top of the list when the Governor of California chooses a new Senator to replace Kamala in a few days? (Katie Porter has also been mentioned)

But, in my opinion, with the knowledge that he already possesses, he would be a great candidate for Attorney General for the United States. He could recruit the FBI to get to the bottom of the Russia "hoax" and find out exactly how deep is the threat to our national security. He has the incentive to do the job. I think he would enjoy it.

asked him if he'd be interested in moving over to the Senate. He didn't say "no", but went on to praise all the Dem talent in CA, saying that Newsom will have quite a decision to make.

I'd like to see Katie Porter as Senator, and Schiff as AG. He'd be marvelously effective there.

26. A friend of mine and I had a LONG conversation yesterday after Kamala was announced

and had a blast (as only political geeks can) choosing President Biden's cabinet! We both think so highly of Representative Schiff that we don't know what to do with him (in a good way)! She LOVES Preet Bharara for A.G. and thinks Schiff would actually prefer to stay in the House and be the Speaker at some point. Plus, we both feel that it would be great if a woman of color takes Kamala's seat.

I want Schiff to be Attorney General of the United States! He is such a fighter and was so brilliant and compelling during the impeachment I think he'd see to it that all of these low-life criminals would actually go to prison! I think Karen Bass might be a could replacement for Kamala.....
