God bless the U.S. of A.
Dear friends, welcome to another episode of Murica: Land of the Free*. Today, we talk about the 2020 Sturgis Rally (yes, again) or what we can refer to as Darwins Revenge. Against all odds and a pandemic, the legendary motorcycle gathering proceeded as it has for the past 84 years, uninterrupted (aside for WWII years), in what could only be considered a celebration of Americas status as a world leader (in the number of COVID-19 cases).
We now learn that it wasnt enough for these custard-brained turkeys in leathers to take an entire town hostage but they did so with panache by exhibiting the very worst in human behavior. Initial reports by the South Dakota Department of Public Safety suggest that attendees are keeping the Sturgis tradition alive and well. As of Monday, August 10, 2020, 41 DUIs, 118 drug-related arrests, three vehicles seized, and 30 non-fatal crashes have been reportedan increase from last year.
One might argue that these numbers aren't much higher than last years (which is true), however, consider this: attendance is down which means that people are being dumber per capita.
How about masks? Attendees must at least be wearing masks, right? Sorry to disappoint. Aside from that one virtue-signaling Canadian interviewed by Insider who felt like he was going to die when he contracted COVID-19 earlier in the year but chose to attend the rally anywaywith a mask, duhnot many visitors do. On the contrary, the event is apparently a haven for conspiracy theorists and believers of the mighty hoax to thrive and commiserate about how big of a joke the pandemic is.

Oh, and 10 men were arrested in Sturgis for soliciting sex from 15-year-old girls, who turned out to be undercover cops.
And there you have it. So far.

would they want to blow up the world? They definitely would want to get as far away as possible as soon as possible.

Should be on throughout this week.
Saw one motorcycle on the livecam flying several flags at once, including a red flag with Trump's name on it.

Two riders died in a crash just three miles west of Sturgis on Monday August 10, 2020. This marks the first fatalities of this years event. The incident happened on U.S. Highway 14A at mile marker 49, at or around 5:15 p.m., according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
A 22-year-old man was riding westbound when the report says he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the center line, and collided with two eastbound bikes. A 55-year-old man riding one of the eastbound bikes was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 22-year-old was airlifted to a Rapid City hospital and later died. The rider of the other eastbound bike, a 60-year-old man, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All news reports state that none of the three riders wore a helmet at the time.

They are hoping for an even bigger crowd.
