https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/01/opinions/trumps-meghan-markle-nasty-proves-her-point-alaimo/index.html(CNN)Donald Trump has a "nasty" problem.
It happened again (of course it did) Tuesday, at a press briefing, when the President was asked about presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's selection of Sen. Kamala Harris for his running mate.
"She was very very nasty, to one of the reasons that surprised me, she was very she was probably nastier than even Pocahontas to Joe Biden. She was very disrespectful to Joe Biden, and it's hard to pick somebody that's that disrespectful," he said, also reaching back for an old dig at Sen. Elizabeth Warren for good measure.
We've been here before with his go-to epithet for women.
Just a year ago,Trump called Denmark's Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen "nasty" after she called his interest in buying Greenland "absurd."
And in June last year, the President called Nancy Pelosi a "nasty, vindictive, horrible person" after a Fox News interviewer brought up a Politico report about Pelosi telling Democrats pushing for impeachment that she'd rather see Trump "in prison" (a Pelosi spokeswoman said she could not confirm the comment).

(16,786 posts)Any woman who has accomplished much in her life, who can think on her feet, does not suffer fools, is NASTY.
Be that Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Kamala Harris, former FLOTUS Michelle Obama, a reporter who challenges him at his ME pressers, etc. In Trump's world, a woman should be seen as an object to be ogled at with kidneys to be proud of.
Speaking of Ivanka, where has she been of late?

I shall say no more, but Trump using that term for ANY woman deserves a right hook by her brother, boyfriend, or any other man in her life. Or womn properly versed in the martial arts...
No court would find him guilty.
BTW, even the urban dictionary isn't up on this. Closest it gets is a woman who give great sex. In that case, how is it an insult?

(11,738 posts)He does not understand that you can have disagreements with people and still have respect for them and work with them. I don't always agree with my wife, in fact there are things that we have strong opinions about that are not in sync. I still respect her more than just about anyone else in my life. We get along well because we are emotionally stable and understand the range of human emotion and thought.
Trump is so emotionally fragile that he doesn't understand the concepts of mutual respect, loyalty, and trust.
Harris and Biden disagreed, and Harris had strong opinions about some things Biden had done and espoused in his political career. They have, as it appears, been able to hash those things out and engage in a mutually respectful relationship to work together for this country.
Trump simply has no capacity to understand that, and so he mocks Biden and Harris, as if there is something wrong with working together despite some differences.
He is simply an idiot.

(6,448 posts)It was saturated in "She was...". I have to check more of his quotes, but it seems Trump only uses pronouns and nicknames for strong women who are superior to him. Pocahontas makes another appearance here and we all remember "that woman from Michigan". He wasn't man enough to give her the title of governor. Sad.
He seems so disgusted and disappointed that he can't bring himself to say their name. By not doing so, he's disrespecting them and not acknowledging them as human beings.
