I think the Hezbollah/Iran/Russian alliance and the US lack of meaningful action thereon has Gulf nations particularly on edge. While UAE is far from the front lines on that, it's oil and other interests go by Iran. Trump looking the other way especially on Russia may not be too reassuring in all this. Arab nations are pretty good at giving credit to others if it gets them something, and a nod to Jared/Trump just puts an easy to get couple of chits on their side of the table.
