agreement? Is this the result of Jared's unprecedented international expertise?

(34,661 posts)have finally come to some type of meeting of minds and each one needs the other to save their Political behinds. If one has been following the Mid East, well you then are aware of massive Food Shortages and Drought. Folks,it is all about Water Rights and water sharing.
Plus,Putin is carving out his niche in the region and that in it's self is pressuring certain Tribes to form alliances in order to survive.

(34,661 posts)acquaintance once said, and he was State Department Gopher for Eourpe and the Mid East, the mid east travels on Israel made Tires and Israel depends on their Fresh Fruit and Vegetables as well as Meat to survive. To make both work,Water is the key resource which Israel controls a key Dam which supplies Irrigation to a large region of the Middle East. As Egypt under Nassar proved,he who controls the water controls the Populace of the Mid East.

(3,243 posts)The UAE closed relations with Israel because of the Assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, supposedly by Mossad, Israel's secret service. Who knows what may have been promised to get the UAE to open back up to Israel.

(3,019 posts)I think the Hezbollah/Iran/Russian alliance and the US lack of meaningful action thereon has Gulf nations particularly on edge. While UAE is far from the front lines on that, it's oil and other interests go by Iran. Trump looking the other way especially on Russia may not be too reassuring in all this. Arab nations are pretty good at giving credit to others if it gets them something, and a nod to Jared/Trump just puts an easy to get couple of chits on their side of the table.
