DIY coronavirus "vaccine"

Studies seem to suggest that recent exposure to other non-Covid-19 coronaviruses may enhance the immune response to C19.

So, my question is: how can one go about trying to catch a cold these days, without also inadvertently exposing themselves to C19?

I wouldn't hesitate at all to deliberately catch a cold right now, if it might confer some protection against C19.

But, how???

idea to inject bleach into the body—"knocks it our in a minute."

Listen to the scientists, if that were so they would've already recommended it.

Here's a link for some actual medical news that offers a mitigation method that can come before a vaccine.

to be exposed to a *known* coronavirus that causes colds and that *may* stimulate an immune response that is cross-reactive with C19, my answer is Yes, yes I would.

I doubt it will be available that quickly.

That will be an added tool to the toolbox. It works in a completely different way than vaccines, is administered differently, etc. A good additional tool.

4. If getting colds really does protect against Covid, why do so many old people get it?

I'm 60, and I've probably had 60 colds in my life (I get a couple BAD ones each year). I haven't got Covid myself (knock on wood), but I suspect most of those seniors suffering with it have had many colds too.

I wouldn't try it, if only because you'll be coughing and sneezing a lot and everyone will avoid you.

I have the usual allergies, and every time I sniffle, I always have to say, "Sorry! Just allergies!" to the people around me shrinking away.

5. Well, the cold has to be from a coronavirus (and recently)

And perhaps even a specific one (not sure how deep the research has gone so far).

Common colds can also be caused by, eg, adenovirus, rhinovirus.

I had a very terrible "cold" back in January, that I'm still not certain wasn't C19. But, if I'm lucky, it was from a different but close-enough virus, that maybe has helped me remain (so far) C19-free.

I am fastidious about my isolation, so even if I got a cold now (how?), quite literally nobody would be exposed.

Has become automatic.

Have more boxes of tissues about the house for good measure, too.

Deliberately catching a cold — the right cold, will likely not work out well, and some percentage that try this will wind up with COVID for their efforts. There’s just no way to do this precisely enough and according to any such theory that may or may not prove out in the long run.

Wear a mask, follow distancing guidelines, and get more vitamin D are still the best methods, imo.

Sorry no link, it was posted on D.U. when it first went public.

Let's just say memory hazy.

In fully legal state though helps, delivery weed has been so cool, rather pay the extra ($10 tip, "free delivery over $100&quot every other month, I buy a full ounce at a time, 2 months supply, any way then hassle with the dispensary, I don't need bud help, that is where the internet has been a boon to figuring out the strains and what is right for me, haven't had any bud in months that I didn't like at least a little.

FPOG right now.

It isn't for everyone, but lots of cannabis options.
