Question: Is ANY news not **Breaking News** on CNN?

I've started watching CNN a bit more after a change in cable access and... damn. Does EVERY segment start with that chyron? I think they are appealing to those with "adrenaline" addiction.

Just wondering. I think I need a valium now.

Everything is BREAKING!

Maybe that's an apt comparison to our country right now. If we don't stop Trump, Barr, et al soon, it will all be broken.

You think something really important is happening, only to find out that another water main has broken.

In San Diego, that happens every other 10 minutes.
But it's 'breaking news.'

I really wish they would stop doing it because it scares me to death. California is one big fire zone. Especially at this time of the year. The second I hear breaking news, that's where my head goes.

They should save 'breaking news' for actual breaking news.

MSNBC does that, too. It has become a "Little Boy Who Cried Wolf" kind of situation, where nobody pays any attention to it any more and so, if any TRULY "Breaking News" comes along, a lot of people won't pay any attention to that, either.
