(1,665 posts)I ask it all the time.
Best answer I heard:
Because if our candidates were crap, then wed be republicans.

(14,856 posts)The ONLY time that my favorite candidate was nominated, it was Obama. Yet I've voted for the Democrat in the general election every time because the Republican was much worse.
Democrats probably tend to be more nit-picky because they want actual solutions from their government,
Many Republicans can just promote chaos and stupidity because it "works for them" even if their candidate is completely useless in a government position.
Edit: And I'd like to see more Democratic politicians at least BLUFF about cutting the government services that Republicans care about, such as the military and police. Since that stuff has been treated as a "given" for so long, why should they bother to negotiate about anything? Democratic politicians could at least say, "If you don't like this idea, then we could just promote THIS idea instead." As it stands, Republicans often feel secure in their "bare minimum' government hopes.

Somehow, I don't see either Joe or Kamala hanging a hook out for them to hang their sick projections on, or accepting them if they try.
I think the repukes know this and it is likely why they are getting all whipped up into a frenzy over Kamala.
Sick fockers.
Ps - Marie Louise von Frantz covers projections very nicely in "Projection & recollection in Jungian Psychology."

(33,541 posts)We have an insane fascist openly raping the country and they're upset that a first term congresswoman from New York isn't getting twenty minutes or more.
Nabilah Islam, who unsuccessfully ran to represent Georgia's 7th congressional district in June, tweeted: "REPUBLICAN John Kasich is getting more time to speak at the DEMOCRATIC national Convention than @AOC. That is all."
'Ms. Jacobs! Is that you?!' AOC's Twitter reunion with her second-grade teacher is whole tear-fest

(14,565 posts)That is always the answer to this type of question. They simply have more margin for error than we do.
Combined with gerrymandering and suppression it is a hell of a hurdle.
Look at it this way, the GOP is like the casino with all the systematic advantages, the 11/10 odds in their favor. That's how they operate, especially now with Trump. If the players are winning at a game let's get rid of it, or get rid of them, or keep screwing with the odds until they can't win.
