https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/29653173/florida-state-wide-receivers-challenge-school-handling-coronavirusThe delicate balance of player safety and pushing forward with football might have hit a tipping point at Florida State, where three wide receivers, including star Tamorrion Terry, have publicly spoken out about a lack of transparency in coronavirus testing at the school.
On Wednesday night, D.J. Matthews tweeted that he had tested positive for COVID-19, but the tweet was quickly deleted. He followed Thursday morning with a second tweet suggesting lies within the program.
Terry retweeted Matthews and offered his own vague concerns, writing, "I can't believe this."
Warren Thompson offered some clarity in an open letter to Florida State, saying he had been lied to about testing and health protocols on multiple occasions.

(17,613 posts)The contention, as I understood it, was that the players are in the dark about the health conditions of other players who have had flu like symptoms. Of course the School claims that nothing can be shared because of Hippa rules. It will all be academic when one of the players becomes sick and has to be hospitalized. If the University can cover up illness, they will while screaming "transparency" at the top of their voices.
It is the power of football in the Deep South.
Of course the University wants to play football, it is all about the money. Student athletes health and safety is secondary. The Governor, the University President and the Coaching staff and the Boosters, want the show to go on regardless of the consequence. I think that within a few weeks they will have to face the issue, that football this year is not a good idea.....
