What's happened to your second coronavirus stimulus check?

Republicans and Democrats agree they want to give Americans another round of $1,200 relief payments to help ease some of the financial pain from the coronavirus and stimulate the troubled economy.

So where's the money?

It's tied up in a broader clash over COVID-19 assistance, including whether to revive the $600 boost in weekly unemployment benefits that expired last month.

"If we can get a fair deal we’re willing to do it this week," Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin told CNBC on Monday. But there were no new formal talks during the week, and the U.S. Senate on Thursday joined the House in adjourning for summer recess.

2. IS there a second stimulus check?

I haven't heard anything about it. Sure hope there is, but at this point I kind of doubt it.

4. I wasn't eligible for the first one.

So I’m quite sure I won’t get one if there is a next one. The unemployment benefit was crucial to keep my head above water as I’m sure is the case for most people. $1200 for several months is ridiculous.
