It used to be so liberal that we did not renew the subscription because of their non stop attacks on Hillary, and Bill, throughout 2008, even after she dropped from the race.

The deplorables in the cult don't travel internationally.
They don't get exposed to foreign ideas.
They hate Spanish or French in high school.
They don't like "foreign food" except maybe Taco Bell and Chinese Gourmet Express.
They think Americans invented the automobile, the telephone, apple pie and hot dogs.

They believe the US is number one in education, health care, and style.

They are racists through and through.

first in pretending to be religious and following their savior but actually being total hypocrites,
first in the worst healthcare system in the developed world in terms of actually helping real people,
first in electing a moron (well, more than one: trump, reagan, bushie w),
first in having a party that is actively undermining its own government.

There were other problems besides the birtherism slams against Harris - holding up the Dred Scott decision as being credible, failing to mention that she got the AG job he ran for in the primary. They did not vet this enough.

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt that they published this in some kind of attempt to be even-handed, but this is really a major screw up and they have a lot of damage control to do.

PERIOD!!!!! There is NO excuse, NO rationalization, NO justification they can use to hide their racism and misogyny.

It should not be allowed as a source.

The truth is that the old and respected news magazine is now dead. What exists now is a RW rag using a purchased name and logo.

When news outlets, (as well as trump) put out stories and remarks such as this they know exactly what they are doing. Even if they later reel it back in and/or apologize, it is given air. People who are too lazy to go research and find it is false will believe it. Then they lay it low and spread it wide as well. I will never read Newsweek again. As far as I am concerned they are a propaganda rag now. What a shame.

law school in Orange County. The first fact is disqualifying evidence of bias, and the second raises the question: why was Newsweek unable to find someone at a more respected law school to write an opinion and have it reviewed by other respected scholars before publishing--or find a refereed article in a good journal? Maybe because no serious legal scholars think the opinion has any credibility?

This is more evidence that the Newsweek editors should be fired.
