Lara Trump was 'insulted' by Joe Biden's pledge to name a woman as his VP:

'Let’s not worry about qualifications'

Last week’s announcement that former Vice President Joe Biden had selected Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate on the Democratic ticket appears to have fired up the Trump campaign. On Wednesday, Jenna Ellis, a senior legal adviser for President Donald Trump, compared Harris’s voice to Marge Simpson — prompting a response from the animated Simpsons matriarch. And on Saturday night, the president’s daughter-in-law and campaign adviser, Lara Trump, told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro that she was “insulted” by Biden’s decision to choose a woman as his VP.

Appearing on Justice with Judge Jeanine, Trump argued that Biden’s pledge in March to run with a female vice presidential candidate was about “identity politics,” not equality.

“I have found it very interesting that the mainstream media and the people on the left think that the women in this country, Judge Jeanine, are stupid,” said Trump, wife of the president’s second-born son, Eric. “Apparently, they forgot that the identity politics they tried to play in 2016, when they suggested that women should vote for someone named Hillary Clinton because she was a woman, didn’t work then, it’s not going to work now.

“I for one was insulted when months ago Joe Biden came out and he said, ‘Guess what? It’s going to be a woman who’s my running mate.’ Let’s not worry about qualifications, let’s not worry about what they bring to the table,” continued the mother of two, who has helped spearhead the campaign’s Women for Trump tour. “If these people want to stand up for equality, people in this country will never be fully equal in their eyes until they stop pandering for votes and playing identity politics.

that she carries the name "tRump". If she's not embarrassed, she's as complicit as the rest of 'em.

anything they say - they just keep saying things they think the base will like.

It's as if they spend an hour listening to AM Talk Radio then imagine what the typical listener would want to hear on
any given subject and then just say that.

I'd like to think I earned what I've achieved in life by being smart, studying and working hard, making good choices and taking my responsibilities seriously.

But these bigots are trying to create a world in which all that is nothing compared to the power of white skin and maleness.

I call that cheating. Screw that. I want a level playing field so if I win, I know I earned it, and if I lose, I know the best person won and I'll trying harder next time.

White male supremacy crap diminishes whites and males and reduces my achievements down to irrelevant, immutable characteristics. Obviously, quite aside from the ways it diminishes women and non-whites. It's insulting all around.

Women say this.

If they are so offended by women having any equal rights, then they need to quit using the rights they have been given by women who fought for equal rights and STFU then. Practice what they preach. They remind me of the women where I live who say a woman should not speak in church or ever question what men tell them religion is. They never STFU about it. If women are supposed to STFU about it, then STFU about it and let the rest of us who want equal rights and freedom from religion have that and leave us the hell alone. Enough of their shit.

by Idiot45 to head HUD's New York Federal Housing Office, or did she really think she was the person "most qualified" to handle billions of dollars of taxpayers' money?

Trump Family Wedding Planner to Head New York’s Federal Housing Office

"A longtime associate of President Trump’s family, who organized golf tournaments on the president’s courses and planned his son Eric’s wedding, will soon oversee billions of federal dollars as the head of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s New York and New Jersey office.

Lynne Patton had been working as a senior adviser and director of public engagement at HUD for several months before Ben Carson, the department secretary, recommended her for the new role, a person close to Mr. Carson said. Before that, Ms. Patton had no experience in housing policy.

The appointment of a Trump family loyalist to a key government post fits a pattern. His daughter Ivanka and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, work in White House offices. Dan Scavino Jr., who was the president’s caddie, is the director of social media. His longtime bodyguard, Keith Schiller, has become such an important White House figure that he hand-delivered the dismissal papers for James Comey, the former F.B.I. director, to the bureau’s headquarters.

Nonetheless, the appointment of Ms. Patton elicited incredulous responses in New York.

“Like many things in the Trump universe, we’re dealing with things we’ve never seen before,” Mayor Bill de Blasio, who held the same post during the Clinton administration, said in a weekly radio interview on WNYC. “Folks in that role historically have had substantial background in government or in housing.”

Representative Grace Meng, Democrat of New York, wrote a letter to the president, demanding Ms. Patton’s immediate removal. Ms. Patton doesn’t start the job until July 5.

“This is not The Apprentice; the federal government is not your personal patronage system,” Ms. Meng wrote."...(more at link)
