Many employees of private companies get meds by mail

Last edited Sun Aug 16, 2020, 09:34 PM - Edit history (1)

I’ve seen posts about how the sociopath in chief’s damaging the USPS is harming vets. That alone is bad enough. But the media doesn’t emphasize that many other people get meds by mail—some companies’ insurance plans REQUIRE that you use Walgreen’s or CVS’s or another mail service, or they charge you more for the same meds at your local pharmacy.

1. I'm Retired And On Medicare-My Supplemental Drug Plan Is Always Badgering Me To Get My Rx's By Mail.

They send a 90 day supply by mail and it's supposed to be cheaper - probably for the insurance company because it's their mail order house.

I like to have the ability to go to a pharmacy and deal with the same pharmacist every time I get my meds.
I refuse to go to a mail order system. It is impersonal and if you need to talk to a pharmacist at the mail order house it's always a different pharmacist.

I know there are many retirees that prefer mail order pharmacies. They are going to be in a world of hurt if the USPS slows down or crashes.

Trump is just out to kill just about everyone.

and it was harder to sort them out than with my local pharmacist.

There are SO many people affected by this.

supplemental plans are mail order. Piss those seniors off a little more after asking them to die for the economy.

I didn't want to do it, so I didn't. Thankfully we still had an option of using an "insurance approved pharmacy."
