(25,253 posts)We'll be seeing Covid outbreaks in all levels of schooling and it will be evident that they will have to shut down.
Some schools will reach that decision before others - but all will wind up being shut down again.

(25,253 posts)Universities as any school will continue to offer virtual or computer learning/schooling - but I truly believe that in-person schooling will be ended until this pandemic is controlled better or ended.
Already we're seeing outbreaks of positivity around the country where students have moved back into dorms or near campus.
I heard even Notre Dame has experienced some Covid outbreaks - and we were assured by them that they've pulled out all the stops to keep their students safe.

(3,334 posts)Instead of our great-grandson having to attend school, he has been accepted to the Virtual School in Onslow County NC. That means for the entire school year he will be learning online with a teacher. I do feel sorry for families that have to send their children to school. It seems that too many politicians feel the economy is more important than our children.

As much as we believe we have worked diligently to help create a healthy and safe campus living and learning environment, we believe the current data presents an untenable situation," wrote the university's chancellor, Kevin Guskiewicz, and its provost, Robert Blouin, in a message to the campus. "The health and safety of our campus community are paramount."
(And yet.....)
Some aspects of university life will continue. Student-athletes will attend online classes, but "workouts and practices will continue under the standards set by our university, health officials and department," the athletic department said on Twitter Monday afternoon. "We are still expecting to play this fall."
Clusterfucked for sure.
