(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump said management changes at the U.S. Postal Service that have been blamed for mail delays across the country are aimed at addressing what he called a long-term disaster in its finances.
This isnt a Trump thing. This has been one of the disasters of the world, the way its been run, Trump said in an interview Monday on Fox & Friends. What am I supposed to do, let it continue to be run badly?
He said that House Speaker Nancy Pelosis announcement that shell bring members back to Washington this week to vote on legislation to shore up the Postal Services finances was a con game.
The Post Office, theres $25 billion sitting there, but they really want $1 trillion to bail out their badly run states, Trump said of Democratic lawmakers.

(9,895 posts)Trump is nothing more or less than a lying conman. Always has been and always will be. He tried conning his old man and never could get the love or attention or affirmation he craved... So he conned the country into believing that an imbecile, who bankrupted CASINOS, where the odds are LITERALLY in your favor as the house, was a savant at business instead of merely a carnival barker with the advantage of the New York Tabloid media desire for stories in the 1980's...
For 40 fucking years now, Donald Trump has been two things - an abject business failure and a spectacularly unconscious burdened conman. His idiotic TV show allowed him to play a character that he never was nor never will be - an actual success at business. He is the antithesis of what good people skills and successful executives are - he speaks more than he listens, he cares only for his own interests (at the expense of everyone else around him) and he is crass, uncouth and proudly stupid.
But what takes the cake now is he is complicit in two things that should stain him and ANYONE who defends him forever - he is presiding over a nation that is losing citizens at a monthly rate 4X that of the deadliest military conflict in world history - WWII....AND (as if THAT were not enough), he is actively trying to openly steal a 'fair and free' election because there is no mathematical chance at all of winning this contest on the level.
When he speaks, any reporter worth their salt should challenge him for citation/source and bang on it until he complies or stops talking again. EVERY press conference should utterly ignore his "message du jour" and instead challenge him on sources for ALL of his wild claims and bullshit.
But none - not one - has the gumption and iron constitution enough to do anything of lasting impact to save this country from the abyss. Not one.
It is to the point that I am almost as sickened by reporters as I am by the disease the nation is dying of daily. I wonder if their symbiotic relationship with chaos - to garner fleeting attention (instead of order to achieve real, lasting understanding - has not made them as dangerous to the nation as the COVID-19 virus, the insane painted carnival barker in the Oval Office or the worst economic down turn in 90 years).
