Or drop it off if your state allows it. Verify this with your county elections administration regarding this since the rules vary from state to state.

Stamps do not really make much difference. Vote by mail envelopes are barcoded and pre posted so they are trackable.

Your elections administrator website may show you if your ballot has been processed.

However your precinct chair may have access to that data . I do. I can see when the application was received at the Elections office, when the ballot was returned to the voter, and when the ballot arrives back at the Elections office. When I look at my VAN lists, I can see who has voted whether by mail or during early voting in person. This tells me who I need to chase to get them to mail the ballot and tell them what to do if they decide to vote in person.

7. don't know about anywhere else but our ballot board starts work when the first ballots arrive

they will check signatures if needed. It is a balanced group from both parties and both party chairs are included.
