Has Anyone Noticed on YouTube?

Every time I open YouTube, at the top of the list of video icons there is a constant ad placement with unflattering pictures and videos of Joe Biden. It looks like the user's name is "Did Something Happen to Joe Biden? with a picture of Trump next to it" and it asks the viewer to test either the word "radical," "extreme," or "left" to 88022. It says it's paid for by "Donald J Trump for President, Inc."

Insidious, and damn near subliminal. I close it every time it pops up.

I'm in Washington state (as I assume you are) and I get them. I clicked a "Why this ad?" link (after I'd set my ad settings to ignore all the data they'd mined on me over time) and it said it was time of day and region of country - but this is no battleground state (though I'm in Thurston county, so a bit more likely to be a Republican than someone in King county).

...I ask the Show to play Ozzie and Harriet on you tube.. and theres that awful ad. Now there's an ad with Dr Ronnie ('Obamas WH Physician' it states) saying that Joes demented and something is mentally wrong with him. Dr effing Ronnie.. My father was suffering from dementia and Joes no more demented than i am and hes sharper now than I was 30 years ago in grad school..

Not sure if it's available for phones (if that's what you're using) but it's worth looking into.

7. It's worth it to me to spend the $9.99/mo or so for YT Premium. No ads anywhere, videos or homepage.

I'm on YouTube a lot. I inherited my dad's extreme dislike of ads so if I like a show on network or cable I always DVR it so I can zip through the commercials. It's even more crucial to my sanity this year.

My phone app kinda changed and not all ads are embedded like they usually are. (There are some that are separate videos, but indicated with an ad icon) Saw the one for Trump and also one for a bra.

When I clicked on a music video, I got an ad embedded ad for Mail Chimp.

I think my age and gender were dominating the algorithm. I turned off targeted ads and I'm still seeing 4-5 Trump ads for every time Schumer appears asking for a donation.

30. You can opt out of long ads

After 15 seconds there is an icon to stop the ad and watch your video

I forgot to do that once and ended up watching some infomercial.

that the Trump campaign bought a lot of non-skippable ads on YouTube, they knew that loads of people would be going there to see parts of the Democratic National Convention that they missed on TV.

It was meant for two purposes, one to have an influence on swing voters who wanted to consider voting Democratic, and as a way to screw with the heads of people who would never consider voting for the orange anus.
