adjective
A good time, cool. New England slang.
That party last night was pisser!
We had a pisser time at the ball game!
Pronounced more like pissa or pissah in places like Dorchester MA.

(44,974 posts)Kennedy was actually my Congressman. I voted for him as well. However he gave up that seat and now 8 people are vying for it.
I am hoping Markey wins, he has been a good Senator and Warren stumped hard for Markey the first time around. Warren and AOC have both endorsed him.

(63,221 posts)I'm still pissed at Joe for even challenging him. Like he couldn't wait and run for Gov or for Markey or Warren to move on?

(83,875 posts)Kennedy was my rep who I voted for and has left our blue district vulnerable.
I have researched the new candidates...a few terrify me.

Im with Kennedy!
Markey has been around a loooong time but has not distinguished himself.

(83,875 posts)I will be voting for him again. He has also been endorsed by both Warren and AOC. Warren stumped hard for him on his first run. That is where I met her for the first time and had a selfie taken with her as well.
PS...I also voted for Kennedy to represent me in Congress.

(33,541 posts)It's unusual for me to support a Kennedy, since I regard JFK as the second worst Democratic President of the 20th century after Woodrow Wilson, and I very much abhor JFK father's (Joe Sr.) role in history.
This said, although he is nowhere near as odious as a Republican, Markey's role on energy and the environment is an anathema to me; he is incapable of doing what we must do to address climate change: Think anew.
The young Kennedy, I hope, will be a better Senator.

(253 posts)If Kennedy has shown any initiative in Massachusetts 4th congressional district in the 4 terms since he succeeded Barney Frank, I (a resident of that district) am unaware of it. Indeed if he had done anything noteworthy, wouldnt it have shown up in his his campaign tv spots?
In my view Kennedy feels - because one of his great uncles was the President of the U S over a half century ago, another great uncle was a notable and long term Massachusetts Senator, and his grand father was the US Attorney General and a New York senator - that he is entitled to the senate seat. (My guess is he views this senate seat as mere stepping stone to the White House.)
I am quite disappointed in Speaker Pelosis announcement
BTW My wife and I have already voted in this primary - for Markey

But when DJ Henry a black college student in NY wads shot by a police officer according to his father Markey was the only one who won't help.

(1,294 posts)Either Markey or Joe Kennedy will be solid progressives. I'm pulling for Kennedy because I think it would be good for the party to have the charismatic grandson of Bobby Kennedy as one of its leading voices. But, Markey is good too and really doesn't deserve to be voted out.
Markey's campaign has done a good job of closing the gap in the polls and apparently taking the lead. They were smart to hold their fire and then run a lot of ads late.

I got a selfie with her!
Love both my Senators and my vote is for Markey.
