I just read a post about a golf cart parade for Biden at The Villages in Florida, of all places.

What a great way to celebrate Joe Biden and draw attention to his campaign!
This is something many of us at DU could do in our communities between now and the election. And on Election Day.
I'm going to do this. Just get a half dozen or more fellow Democrats to hang signs on their cars, drive in a row and honk. No parade permits needed. People do this for birthdays and graduations in my neighborhood.
Spread the word.

(6,476 posts)I remember my Dad was a Democratic party Precinct Chairman and ran several campaigns in Texas and I vaguely remember a car parade in Dallas for the first female candidate for Mayor in Dallas--I believe her name was Elizabeth Blessing
It can be a tradition.

That being said, I can support walks.

These don't have to be long parades over any distances. Just a 10-minute spin around the neighborhood can work.

(25,965 posts)but I consider it highly likely that more people dont have access to a golf cart than those who do. Like the two the of this OP suggests, car parades are far more accessible to far more people. By way of comparison, dont rumps boat parades come off as somewhat elitist? One would expect residents of The Villages to have a golf cart parade; some of them may not even own a car. A golf cart parade elsewhere, however, may strike some as elitist.

(5,850 posts)Car parades are what I'm suggesting.
I made a typo saying carts when I meant cars, but edited the post to correct it.
