Medicare coverage could expand under a Biden presidency

Presidential candidate Joe Biden wants to lower the eligibility age for Medicare to 60 from 65.

He also wants to reduce prescription drug costs by letting the government negotiate prices with manufacturers.

Meanwhile, experts say whoever ends up in the White House in 2021 will need to address a pressing matter: looming insolvency for the trust fund that supports Medicare Part A.
