I have to wonder out loud - is it possible the intelligence services have been watching the pickled ball of lard for some time, knew he was involved in plans to interfere with the election, and gave the appropriate authorities information, knowing the effect would be to severely hamper such efforts, even while still at large, as any contact he makes with any actors will be under heavy surveillance?
Inquiring spooks want to know!
