He passed away at about 11:30 PM. We don't know for certain that it was COVID-19, but we believe it was. He had a severe cold earlier in the year, and never fully recovered. He was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night as multiple organs were failing. He seemed to have stabilized on dialysis and was scheduled to have a liver transplant today, but had trouble breathing yesterday so he was intubated and put on a ventilator. By then it was too late. Jim leaves behind a sister, ex wife and daughter, a girlfriend and many friends. We will miss his good humor.
RIP. Jim

(17,622 posts)..hubby works but is in a protected environment. I will not go into town alone so if we have to contact trace we will be able to do it easily. Hubby had a cancerous kidney and adrenal glad removed so hes only got one kidney. There are so many things this virus does to try to kill us before it finally does.
(((hugs)))

(6,926 posts)Every Covid related death should be announced. Some people are apparently numbed or unmoved by numbers. Names and stories need to be told to make it more real for those who just do not care if it is not their family or friends.
I wish every obit and death notice would include Covid if it applies.
