Former Dallas Reps. Steve Bartlett and Alan Steelman joined a group of 30 or so former GOP member of Congress in rebuking President Donald Trump

WASHINGTON – Two former Republican congressmen from North Texas on Monday endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for the White House, providing evidence of further fracturing in the GOP over President Donald Trump as he seeks a second term.
Former Rep. Steve Bartlett, also a former Dallas mayor, served in Congress in the 1980s, while former Rep. Alan Steelman, also of Dallas, did so in the 1970s.
The duo were part of a group of nearly 30 Republican members of Congress – headlined by former Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake, who retired last year – that the Biden campaign announced as backers ahead of the first night of the Republican National Convention.
“It’s simply a matter of country over party,” said Bartlett, who spent several years as a lobbyist for the financial services industry.
“It comes down to character,” he added. “Joe Biden, I’m known him for years. He has a strong character. He’s a strong leader. He’s a decent human being. … I don’t agree with all of his policies. But I agree with more of Joe Biden’s policies than Donald Trump’s policies.”

candidates. Do your homework before you go to the polls. Go to your county's Dem party website to find out which local candidates are Dems, as they're not officially designated at the county elections level.
This is our one chance to course correct. We want to put Biden in charge. If the Conman remains the next 4 years we may not have another free election ever.
