My standing theory/take on the Conways.

Just my opinion, nothing else:

Before 2016, they were a regular establishment Republican couple.

Somehow Kellyanne got talked into taking a spot on Trump's campaign. The hope at the time was that she would somehow be able to manage him like a normal candidate.

That of course never happened. But the problem was that Kellyanne by then had been exposed to way too much. She was into deep. She knew where various bodies were buried and was essentially an accessory after the fact to Trump's malfeasance.

So she enlists the support of George to run interference. Have him become the most rabidly anti-Trump personality possible.

Meanwhile, she becomes the total opposite. Support Trump to such a point where she becomes nothing more than a parody of herself. And when the shit hits the fan, she can duck out and use her marriage to a notable Never Trump personality as cover that she was never seriously in for Trump, she was just playing a role.

The mean point of these two polar extremes probably falls somewhere around the regular Republican establishment. Which is where I probably expect both Conways to end up when all the dust is settled.

None of us knows what is really going on nor should we. I will be charitable on this and accept that this family is in crisis and deserves privacy.

I think you are right about her being in too deep. She probably even committed a few crimes, so she feels like she has to ride this out. Not to mention she is rabidly anti-choice and probably doesn't care much for gay rights. So the judges getting confirmed fit her world view.

As far as she and George colluding to get Trump out of office, I don't see that. I don't think she's smart enough to pull that off. Maybe George is trying to save her from herself.

She didn’t have to be talked into working for Trump.

I always felt Kellyanne was the leaker they could never find in the White House. I'm assuming she must feel like there's nothing more to leak, since Trump won't be getting re-elected.

All this drama with the Conways is staged. It gives KA a plausible exit from the sinking Trumptanic. Look for a coauthored book by the Conways in January.

and prestige. I doubt she got sucked into the Trump cult, she probably just got tired of it after 4 years. The daughter was likely what pushed her off the island now.

Kellyanne Conway was a third-rate pollster given the unlikeliest job offer in all of American history. She hasn't the foresight or organization do anything of the sort.

What I got is a question.

Will she turn on trump before she starts spending all that quality time with her family?

Or will she, like Bolton, STFU and then cash in with a book?
