South Dakota's Covid Positivity Rate Hits 21.2%
South Dakota has a total of 11,425 COVID-19 cases as of Monday, according to the state health department. That doesn't include people who show symptoms or are asymptomatic but are not tested. A total of 1,691 test results were reported for 703 people on Monday. The positive rate for people tested for the coronavirus on Monday was 21.2%.
The death toll remained at 161 on Monday.
The state has a record 1,570 active COVID-19 cases, according to the state health department. Recoveries statewide increased to 9,694.
