Will gwb formally endorse Joe? (Original Post) dsp3000 Aug 2020 OP
I doubt he will, but if he does, October would be the best time do it. jorgevlorgan Aug 2020 #1

well, he endorsed Susan Collins, so I'm guessing he's not ready to step outside the lines hlthe2b Aug 2020 #4

It’s Trump’s party now, and anyone not falling in line is now a “traitor” and a “loser from the past.”

The GOP doesn't like him any more, and we still don't like him, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't like Trump. Maybe he'll just stay in his basement doing bad paintings of dogs and quietly vote for Biden. A vote is a vote.

...so they want to be careful to not quite crush it completely to death nor to look like apostates. They need to be able to stitch some of the parts back together after Trump is exorcised.

Possibly within the last 72 hours of the race. I doubt he does though. Robert Costa said it would be more likely if there were no more Bushes in GOP politics. I guess Jeb’s spawn is involved in Texas GOP politics on some level.

In 2016, they had their little ways of making their disapproval of Trump well-known.

I don’t think we’ll see an endorsement. I won’t say never, as Trump is such a unique threat. But I expect a lot of family surrogates will be popping up telling absolutely pre-approved stories.

If we were going to see an endorsement, I feel we would’ve seen Jeb by now.
