Has the Trump takeover of a large territory of Evangelical Christianity hurt the Pro-Life Cause?

One of the things that allowed Trump to effectively assume the leadership of a large part of Evangelical Christianity is that many of those folks mistakenly think they are being Pro-Life. They may have to eat dirt and live with Trump, the logic goes. They may have to "make a bargain with the Devil," but in the end, it will stop abortions.

But just maybe Evangelicals haven't thought what they are doing through. Maybe they are foolishly making everyone think Evangelicals are like Trump and, therefore, unprincipled liars and disreputable people. If that's so, then everything they support is negated. That includes the Pro-Life cause as well as all of their deeply held religious beliefs and way of life.

They've been conned. The one thing they traded their integrity for they aren't getting. In fact, all the ground they had is being lost. I think a vote for Trump is arguably a vote against Pro-Life. Has anyone made that case?

The same can be said for racists and power hungry religious extremists. Of course, all three groups share many of the same members.

They really don't care about any other aspect of a truly pro-life position.
