How about if the Republicans broke into two parties?

Republicans broke into two parties? It seems like to me that sort of thing has happened in American history before.

But suppose they broke into two parties. One, Sane Republicans, such is John Kasich. And the other, Insane Republicans, such as the Dotard and his ilk.

Wouldn’t it be nice?

They're almost extinct these days, but there is a third type...sane Republicans. Lowell Weicker of the Watergate era was every bit as good as any Democrat. John McCain was a more recent version, who I'm confident would be endorsing Joe if he was alive today. They do exist.

I am a leftie. I hope AOC is our nominee someday. There remain a few...very few...Republicans who are worth keeping around and working with.

Gym Jordan is tea party and he’s as crazy as a loon. Mike Dewine/ Kasuck etc would be part of gop 3. The pukes that appear to be sane but only because they are compared to gop 1 & 2.

There do seem to be three ideological party foundations, but really only voter bases for two. It would make sense to have the Trumpers form the third party and leave the shell of the Republican party to the conservative never Trumpers, but they would not relinquish the gop unless Trump himself decided to go that route. The swelling numbers of these republicans without a party is mainly due to the personage of Donald Trump himself. Once he's gone, the size of the batshit crazy base will lure them back into the fold.
