Wow - orange asshole's visit to a small town near me is blowing up the Next Door app!

Things have been simmering as it is - signs are being stolen, the nutcase right wing is out in droves fawning over "the best president ever" that "they pray for every day".

But the trumpian clown show apparently came to little Mills River NC (not far from where I live) - and the supposedly non-political Next Door is in all out revolt - approaching 200 comments on a pro-dump post in the last 24 hours.

The best part - the scariest trumpers are outing themselves so I am muting away. don't want anything to do with those nutjobs.

If this is but a tiny slice of the intersection point between the two sides, it just reinforces that there is no healing from this - anyone who for any reason supports the asshole at this point has to share his "values" (or be utterly brainwashed) - either way, I want absolutely nothing to do with them - ever.

are huge liberals.

Interesting.

What about Brevard, and then up around Lake Lure, Bat Cave, Lake Summit etc?

We are in a solid Dem neighborhood in Winston- not a Trump sign to be seen. Did see one on a mobile home out in the country on Saturday. No surprise there.

I suspect far lefties like me sprinkled in. Red side of purple. I suspect Brevard is bluer, but am not sure - there is lots of big money around us, and the "don't tax me" bunch are well represented with the holy roller hypocrite bunch. As for Mills River, it is small but growing and clearly, from the posts, lots of trump worship going on there, along with some good battling back from the good guys

When the MF came to my city 3 years ago it felt like an assault. I'm sure he meant it as such. Keep muting the crazy and keep your chin up.

Here's how AF1 and the MF were welcomed when they flew into our little valley:

It's a nice area. Can't quite call it a town, like Hendersonville, but I always enjoyed my visits, there.

the McMansions are starting to emerge. We've been here 8 months and have decided we could have ended up nowhere nicer to spend our next decades of gardening, writing, quilting, and hiking!

It is just too expensive for me to find a house I could comfortably afford. Oh well. I do love Michigan.
