Television made Trump. It needs to die.

My wife and I quit television a long time ago. No cable, no satellite, no broadcast. They don't get our money, we don't see their commercials.

Rest in Peace Walter Cronkite, today's television news and opinion would make you weep.

It seems they do bend over backwards to treat Melania like a Fabrege egg.

But I have seen criticism of her "social media" bullying bullshit as well as Pompeo's Hatch Act violations and the use of Federal property for political purposes.

Honestly, I don't think the press is fawning over RNC convention. But, they aren't saying what we'd like -- GOPers suck.

The press seemed a whole lot more appreciative of the Democratic convention.

Violence in cities -- no matter the cause -- won't help us, unfortunately.

Hold on tight. I do think we'll prevail.

Get to work. Volunteer at your local Democratic Party headquarters. Write a letter-to-the-editor of your local newspaper. Help register potential voters.

bursting into tears. I have a feeling these feelings are widespread.

One thing I suggest is listening to Progressive Radio if you have SiriusXM or any local AM stations that play it (or listening online). Those programs are mostly positive and ridiculing the convention and it's a way to escape the madness of the RNC coverage and listen to like minded people.

It's rough. I told my sister, "I am just focused on getting through the next six months."

Find something to get your mind off of what is playing on M$M. Whatever works for each individual is okay.

Personally I like envisioning Dotard leaving the WH for the last time, being carried out by law enforcement, kicking and screaming.

You know what is going on, you know it's really obvious and most of us know that and what we need to do. It's gonna be there whenever you look right up to the end. So if you step away from it for as long as you need to, it probably won't matter as much as your need to nurture your psyche right now.

Do something nice for yourself and chill on the tension inducing news for a spell. It's worth it.

These protests, I feel, are really hurting us. That they have turned violent, is very bad in a lot of ways. Also, it looks like everyone is going to call corruption a draw, when it’s obvious Trump is MASSIVELY corrupt.

You're absolutely right - it's all happening during his watch. He's had plenty of time to make us 'great again' but all he's done is ignore true problems and create clusterfucks. Things are rapidly escalating just prior to the election, too - looks like he's been on the phone with Putin again.

Trump stole 2016 and anyone on here who doesn’t acknowledge that he is going to try again - with the potential to succeed - has his/her head in the sand.

Let’s be a little more mindful of our fellow DU’ers, please.

I’m sick of the “don’t post doom and gloom” admonitions. If someone feels that way about a post, they should move on or put the poster on ignore. There’s simply no need to chastise someone for honestly expressing their thoughts. That’s what a discussion board is for.

Besides, right now, doom and gloom is reality; it’s not some far fetched imaginary made up thing for someone to complain about. It’s every day life.

There were Trump/Pence signs lining the highways on the farmsteads all along the way. It be bemuses me to see how these numbnuts can so proudly support this vile-bile, displaying their ignorance on signs larger than the sides of our house. He's already hurt much of their economy but I guess that bailout check was better than their production. So yes, depressing to see.

No evidence that I know of whatsoever, but it just occurred to me that cash-strapped farmers might be desperate enough to be persuaded to do that. No judgment if that were true, just pity... you gotta put food on the table.

November isn't too far now. I don't know what is going on in Kenosha. It feels like every time I step away from the computer, something else happens.

People keep saying America is fading. But I don't think that's what it is. I think what we're seeing is the death throes of white supremacy. They were always going to go down swinging. We're experiencing that swinging now.

But they are losing.

We need to keep that in mind and not despair.
