What a weird thing to write about.

I’ve not watched a second of it, and I won’t.

It's a total waste of time.
I don't know why anybody would feel guilt.
I don't even need to read JR's column. Her reasons will be exactly why I chose not to watch.

Some folks here apparently think it's a sign of weakness if you take a break from this abominable shitfest. Maybe they think skipping it makes you "uninformed."

When it started Monday evening. I felt I should watch some of it just so I could claim to have an open mind, and also out of curiosity to see what it was going to look like. But then that 26-year-old fellow started spewing his nonsense, and everything he said was the exact OPPOSITE of reality, and I got only five minutes into it before I just couldn't take it any more.

So for these four days, when the TV is on, I'm going to be keeping it on other channels than the political ones.

But I do love going to YouTube the next day and getting comments from the likes of Rick Wilson and Steve Schmidt, among others.

I feel proud that I'm not giving him one minute of bandwidth, not giving into my active curiosity. Anything they do will show up in the news and I can read it there.

If you ever found yourself at the end of a week — or even a day — experiencing difficulty recalling the third- or fourth-most-recent outrage, you understand how more exposure does not necessarily make you more cognizant of the lying, norm-breaking, meanness and bigotry. The sheer quantity of his lies, outrages and attacks makes it all a blur. (Remember when he commuted Roger Stone’s sentence? That was only last month.)

I'll watch Rachel, Nicolle and Joy talk about it afterwards, but cannot stand to look at or listen to anyone who is a fan of Trump, especially not his biggest fan - himself.

I already knew what they were going to say, not the exact words, but the general idea.

Trump and the GOP have only FEAR and RACIAL Grievance to run on. Plus, Trump is a narcissist. So, the only things that would be said, are the same things that they said in 2016. That (name your candidate) is a socialist, leftist, crook, etc...; that Black and Brown people are coming for you and they will rape your husbands and take your wives' jobs; that only Trump can fix everything (even though he has had almost 4 years and has fucked everything up), that poor little White Christian babies are going to be persecuted by the evil leftest Black & Brown Immigrant, god hating, hordes, unless the GOP is elected, and that the election, except if Trump wins, is rigged by the Democrats who control fewer state houses & governorships, have a minority on the Supreme Court, and control only One chamber within the 3 Branches of the federal government yet somehow, have the power to steal an election.

That is it. That is what they have. That an cheating.
