He talked about this subject and how the Republicans have been using this since Mcarthy as a negative because saying Democrat makes it sound like a “rat” while Democratic sounds more noble....and he says unfortunately it’s now in a lot of people’s lexicon

The issue is primarily using democrat as an adjective... ie “the democrat party” ... this seems to be an adverb? Vote democratically ??

It's got the most important parts right, and for existing materials the "ic" issue is already moot. You can't change already-printed matter.
