Well at least he hasnt staged his on air segment in front of a bookcase or in his personal library. Claire McCaskill has also been giving us a tour of her home. Interesting from where all these pundits chose to broadcast.

I like Steve's dog getting in on the action tonight.

Again, I forget who it was - but it was a Black guy in his 40s or so who appears from time to time on msnbc. Always right on the money.

I particularly enjoy seeing the homes of ordinary people. It is remarkable how alike we all are in some ways.
I do a lot of Zoom meetings and have five places I do them from, indoors and out.

I love John Heilemanns dogs!

(15,412 posts)lots of shots with pineapples Steve and others. Maybe I noticed because it is not a fruit I have around.

(63,912 posts)got to be a "thing" in everybody's remote shot in the kitchen.
It was a conscious joke but you have to be a MJ watcher (I am) to be "in on the joke."
Lame, I know.

Some of the baseball riffs are fun as well.
It's a small thing but it's the bit of humanity you really don't get outside of the morning shows. Everything else is single-hosted throughout the day.
Hamlette
(15,412 posts)He just loves to hear himself talk and I don't find him that interesting. His guests are good when they can get a word in edgewise. IMO
Edited to add, what I intended to say: Thanks for the background. Maybe that's it. I've noticed sometimes they move the pineapple to a room other than the kitchen or they have two! Sorry for the snark above. Grumpy morning.

(15,286 posts)Claire McCaskill's kitchen's is about as "midwestern" as it can be. A warm and friendly place to sit down and have a chat.
Then there's Michael Bechloss' ladder to the top shelves of his bookcase.
I like to see if I can read the titles of the books behind the speakers. I was totally surprised to see a copy of "Che", the biography of Che Gueverra on the shelf behind Elise Jordan.
Tracer
(2,769 posts)I actually get up off the couch and move close to the TV to try and read the titles.

The kitchens are fun, and range from Claire McCaskills very homey one to kitchens out of a glossy high end lifestyle catalog. The latter, with their wide expansive views of artsy fruit bowls and nothing else are just too good to be true oh, my clutter
I love the libraries, oh boy. You can spot the books theyve written themselves (of course) but its also fun to try to read other titles behind them.
And the dogs!
