The true power of @ChadwickBoseman was bigger than anything we saw on screen. From the Black Panther to Jackie Robinson, he inspired generations and showed them they can be anything they want even super heroes. Jill and I are praying for his loved ones at this difficult time.

That is what leadership is....surrounding yourself with people who enhance your talents.
Chadwick Boseman was a terrific guy and it is so nice to see Joe on top of the situation in his empathetic way.

(17,863 posts)He is a true hero in every sense of the word. I loved him in the Marvel movies. He was going to help carry that franchise through the next epic arc. What we have lost this year....
Condolences to his family and friends.

(9,988 posts)I don't think it's possible to overstate how important Black Panther was to a whole generation. Representation MATTERS, and some of those stories need to be uplifting ones about heroism and adventure. It's one of the greatest superhero films of all time, and the inspiration it gave Black youth especially will make ripples in history.
I hope he knew that. I think he did.

(5,124 posts)Don't get me wrong, the loss of anyone's life is going to be tragic. But in terms of being touched by the death of people i don't know personally, this is one has rocked me to my core. The tears have not stopped for me this morning.
I think Chadwick chose his roles carefully because he knew representation mattered. From playing a young Thurgood Marshall, to Jackie Robinson, James Brown and King T'Challa . He gave all of us a sense of pride and showed people that this is who we are. He will be greatly missed.

He was a truly decent man who died way too soon
