Donald Trump campaign knocks on 1 millionth Florida door

The campaign to reelect President Donald Trump has not forgone the age-old strategy of front-porch politicking in the time of coronavirus.

The campaign announced Thursday it has knocked on its 1 millionth door in Florida as campaign staff and volunteers have resumed canvassing neighborhoods, insisting they are taking safety precautions in the coronavirus crisis that has shut down much face-to-face contact throughout Florida this spring and summer.

“In June, our field teams transitioned back to in-person campaign activities, safely contacting voters at their door and holding in-person events throughout the state,” said Trump Victory spokesperson Emma Vaughn. “Our volunteers and staff follow all state and local guidelines to protect voters and themselves.”

The canvassing continued even as Florida experienced a dramatic resurgence of COVID-19 in late June, July, and early August. Since late June Florida has recorded 87% of its 611,991 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 73% of the 11,001 deaths that have been attributed to the disease.

Donnie Dipshit is always saying; "millions this", "billions that"...

His entire life has been nothing but a fucking fraud.

This is his MO.

It's "image".

He wants to project that he's "great"...no, not great..."greatest".

His entire philosophy is that bullshitting your way to the top is a hell of a lot easier than doing the work to get there.

So my friend had some fun:

He first asked this couple before they went to far when will trump honor his promises on:
- release his tax returns
- release his "great healthcare plans"
- protect social security and medicare when trump announces defunding efforts.

The couple then tried to counter this is all leftwing socialist attacks that are baseless. So my friend says are you calling trump a liar? He said those words and now you say he didn't? Who is lying here??

He shut his door in their face with a laugh

I have reported it here for years. They gather at the T not far from my suburban home in mid-late afternoon, then disperse in all directions. No matter how many times I shoo them away from my door then laugh then return weeks later.

I knew darn well the same approach had to be going on across the state.

The mailers are landslide in one direction also. I never heard from Bill Nelson one time after relocating to Florida in 2008. But this year I received mailers from Trump (twice), Melania, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, along with several "surveys" from Republican committees.

We need to get our act together in Florida. It should be priority one. Hire somebody who understands what we are up against, and that this state requires year round attention, not merely cram sessions within the final two months. The Hispanic messaging is particularly incompetent. I see cynics all over Democratic sites in regard to Florida. They squeal theft but don't want to acknowledge that one side merely tries harder than the other, and that equates to earning on the margins everywhere.
